OPEN RUN.

Where Real Players Show Up to Compete

The Open Run is a unique opportunity for athletes to apply what they’ve been working on in a real-game environment. These sessions are designed to let players compete, build confidence, and test their skills in front of coaches and cameras. It’s not a tryout, and it’s not a showcase—it’s a proving ground where development meets gameplay.

When & Where

  • Held most Saturdays at a local gym or recreation center
  • Organized by level of play to ensure competitive matchups
  • Level 1: 7th–8th Grade
  • Level 2: 9th–10th Grade
  • Level 3: 11th–12th Grade
  • Times vary by level and will be communicated upon registration

The Process

  1. Register online to reserve your spot
  2. Arrive early with your parent or guardian (required)
  3. Get placed in your level (based on grade and ability)
  4. Warm-up and compete in full-court games with trained oversight
  5. Games are filmed for post-run learning and evaluation
  6. Coaches may provide light feedback or points of emphasis

Benefits of the Open Run

  • Real Game Reps: Practice is essential, but applying skills in game settings accelerates learning and confidence.
  • Level-Based Matchups: Athletes compete with and against players at similar stages of development.
  • Video Footage: Every game is filmed and used as a teaching tool for future training sessions or highlight film building.
  • Coach Observation: Coaches and trainers use Open Run to evaluate progress and tailor training based on real performance.
  • Community & Culture: Players connect, compete, and push each other in a high-standard environment.
  • Parent Engagement: Parents get a firsthand look at their child’s development and the value of the program.

Video Learning Integration

After the session, athletes may receive selected game clips or breakdowns during follow-up training. This helps connect decisions made in real time to skills learned in practice—creating a powerful loop of learning, applying, and improving.
